Expensive: start-up cost of an elearning service is expensive and the cost of production of online training materials is very high.

Lack of communication: causes misunderstanding, misleading, relationship isolation.

Personal interaction: sometimes body language or demonstration works better, any skill that relies heavily on inter-personal contact.

In the class, when ann asked: who can give a definition of elearning? There was a girl who answered: “It’s a online learning thing.” ann resayed the word thing, and classmates larghed. It sounds funny, but don’t know why. No one in the class can really gave a definition of the term elearning. I researched in google, found millions of definition. They all have some differences, but similarity as well.

elearning has been often related to technology, web, etc.

http://wikipedia.org is a suggested website for glossary terms and futher detail explaination. Definition of elearning has been found there; view @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elearning.

My interperation of elearning; it’s a new modern learning style associated with web-based learning and online learning, with facilitation of communication technology, such as computers, software, interactive network (web blog, discussion forum, etc).
