URL VS. URI
URI (uniform resource identifier): Name and address of information on the Internet. A URI usually identifies the application used to access the resource, the machine the resource is located on, and the file name of the resource.
URL (uniform resource locator): The address of a page on the World Wide Web.
URL and URI are very similar, but URL is more general then URI, URI can be the name or address of text, graphics, audio, video.
JAVASCRIPT VS. JAVA
JavaScript: A scripting language for Web pages. Scripts written with JavaScript can be embedded into HTML documents. (you can see some other detail definition)
Java: Java is an object-oriented programming language developed initially by James Gosling and colleagues at Sun Microsystems.
JavaScript is a mini version of Java. The advantages of JavaScript over Java are that JavaScript is simplified.
SYNERGY:
Synergy:The dynamic energetic atmosphere created in an online class when participants interact and productively communicate with each other.
In the class, when ann asked: who can give a definition of elearning? There was a girl who answered: “It’s a online learning thing.” ann resayed the word thing, and classmates larghed. It sounds funny, but don’t know why. No one in the class can really gave a definition of the term elearning. I researched in google, found millions of definition. They all have some differences, but similarity as well.
elearning has been often related to technology, web, etc.
http://wikipedia.org is a suggested website for glossary terms and futher detail explaination. Definition of elearning has been found there; view @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elearning.
My interperation of elearning; it’s a new modern learning style associated with web-based learning and online learning, with facilitation of communication technology, such as computers, software, interactive network (web blog, discussion forum, etc).
