URL VS. URI
URI (uniform resource identifier): Name and address of information on the Internet. A URI usually identifies the application used to access the resource, the machine the resource is located on, and the file name of the resource.
URL (uniform resource locator): The address of a page on the World Wide Web.
URL and URI are very similar, but URL is more general then URI, URI can be the name or address of text, graphics, audio, video.
JAVASCRIPT VS. JAVA
JavaScript: A scripting language for Web pages. Scripts written with JavaScript can be embedded into HTML documents. (you can see some other detail definition)
Java: Java is an object-oriented programming language developed initially by James Gosling and colleagues at Sun Microsystems.
JavaScript is a mini version of Java. The advantages of JavaScript over Java are that JavaScript is simplified.
